The Glasshouse Series
The Glasshouse Series is made up of five separate events in the Glasshouse Mountains National Park and plantations (the series was originally made up of three but the two Wild Horse Mountain events were added from 2021):

  • Wild Horse at Night (WH@N)
  • The Wild Horse Criterium (WHC)
  • The Glasshouse 50 (Cook's Tour)
  • Flinders Tour
  • The Glasshouse 100

The series started in 1990 with the 100 mile event first taking place in 1996 (the first 100 mile trail event in Australia and the longest standing).

Just as it was in 2021, to be included in the series standings, you have to finish a run/walk in at least three of the five events due to the reshuffling of WH@N and WHC.  This will become four in 2023.

How does it work?

Series results points are calculated based on gender finish positions in four out of five events, your lowest four scores counting toward your total (four out of five in 2022):

  • 10th place = 10 points

  • 45th place = 45 points

and so on.

The last round of the series (The Glasshouse 100) scores half points:

  • 10th place = 5 points

  • 45th place = 22.5 points

This facilitates the possibilty of big changes in the standings in the last round and as such, the opportunity to go hard one last time to move higher up the rankings.  Whether it's for the overall position or rivalry between your own running group, there will be gains to be made.
